The terrible damage done by hurricanes in 2005 has left devastation in their wake and fellow Americans trying to pick up the pieces. We are still coordinating efforts to respond to their needs, but wanted to thank all those who helped us and those who continue to assist. We couldn’t have done it without this wonderful community support.
CAP responded to emergency needs by sending requested supplies to the Birmingham Jefferson Civic Center and Grand Bay, AL; Dresdehan, New Orleans, Cameron Parrish, Lake Charles and Baton Rouge, LA; Hattiesburg, Gautier, Fontaineblue, Vancleave, Ocean Springs, Picayune, Moss Point, Gulfport, Bay St. Louis, Waveland, Pass Christian, Longbeach and Biloxi, MS.
With humble apologies if we left anyone out, we extend special thanks to: Our faithful core of volunteers who showed up day after day for so long, packing each box with TLC, answering endless phone calls, handing out flyers and contributing great ideas - Dana, David, Tyler, Cameron and Maggie Anderson, Lorraine Broderick, Joy Knotts, LuAnn Hearn, Jim Taylor, Trisha Crain, Kathleen Drake, Sandra Storm, Mike McCormick, Sallie Sherrill, Jay and Evan. And a HUGE thanks to Becky Davis!
