May and June, 2009 Hurricane Update

MAY:  We sent the following clinics requested syringes, needles and urine containers (thanks go to UAB for the donated supplies).

Excelt Clinic Mobile Unit
Coastal Family Health Clinic
St. Anna’s Episcopal Clinic
Manna Ministries Clinic
St. Charles Comm. Health Clinic

JUNE:  We sent a box of syringes and a box of abuterol solution (thank you Harriet Schaffer!) to Suzie at the Hancock County Humane Shelter.

The last 5 boxes of diabetic testing supplies were sent to Moorehouse Comm. Health Center in LA.  Thanks again to Bayer Company!

Cliff Bishop took a working group down to the bayous in LA on June 15 and we sent down a large box of first aid kits as well as a special box made up of first aid supplies to the local fire station.  We are looking forward to hearing how that trip went!

We are still collecting baby formula.  A car load was picked up by Grace Episcopal Church here in B’ham for their food pantry.  My thanks to Richard and Glenn Reado who do most of the work so that I can keep my day job. ;-)

As always,
Laura
