Bayou Health Clinic I know you have been waiting to hear the decision from Loudoun Medical Group as to whether they will be able to set up a free clinic in Dulac. It is with a heavy heart that I have to inform you of their decision not to set up the clinic after all. After a great deal of thought and discussion, LMG has decided that the situation really no longer falls under the category of storm related rapid medical response which is what they are set up to do.
There is no doubt that there is a real need for medical help in the area, but the need is for a more permanent solution and that is beyond their mission and capability.
It is very unfortunate that it took so long to find our way around all the red tape and I am very grateful to LMG for sticking with us for so long in this process and making the tremendous effort that they did make to help in this situation.
On the bright side-- if they are hit hard again, we now know who and how to contact.
